1. To install the Pro version of the Events Genius plugin, first download the plugin from your account (if you haven’t purchased the plugin yet you can do so here).

2. Go to your WordPress Plugins page and click “Add Plugin”.

3. Click “Upload Plugin”.

4. Click “Choose File” and select the zip file of the plugin which you downloaded from your account (you can also drag-and-drop the zip file here instead). Click “Install Now”.

5. Click the “Activate Plugin” button which appears once the plugin is successfully installed.

6. Now that the Pro plugin is installed, if you were using the free version of the plugin previously then you can safely delete that version as it’s no longer needed. Click “Delete” next to the “Event Genius” plugin.

7. You can now click on the “Events” option in the WordPress menu to get started using the Pro plugin. If you were previously using the free version of the plugin then all of your events will have been carried over. If you were not using the free version then you can create your first event by following the directions in the next steps.

8. To create your first event, click on “All Events” then on the “Add New” button at the top.

9. This will bring you to the event editor screen, where you can add all of the details for your event, such as the title, description, image, date/time, registration info, and more. This page may look slightly different depending on whether you are using the Classic Editor plugin, or the default WordPress block editor interface.

10. Fill out the fields on the page with your event information. For more information on how to fill out these fields and what they do, view the “How to Create and Manage Events” doc.

11. Once you have filled out all of your desired fields, click “Publish” in the top right of the page to create your event.

12. Click “View Event” to see your event on the front end of your site.

13. To create a Calendar which displays your events in either a calendar month view, or as either a list or grid of event listings, view the “Creating and Customizing an Event Calendar” doc.
