Creating Events
To create your first event, go to the “Events” page in your WordPress admin and click on “Add an Event”. Fill out the fields in the event editor.

This will bring you to the event editor screen, where you can add all of the details for your event. Note: This page may look slightly different depending on whether you are using the Classic Editor plugin, or the default WordPress block editor interface.
Below is a description of each field and what it does:
Title
The name of your event. This will also be used in the permalink for your event.

Content area
This is a main description of your event, and will be shown on the single event page. You can add any types of content here that you like here.

Summary
This is a short summary of your event which will be shown in the event listings or calendar.

Date and Time
This is the date and time that your event begins and ends. By default, the plugin will use the timezone that your site is configured to in your main WordPress settings, but this can be changed on a per-event basis. You can easily change the format of the date and time in the plugin settings, or select to make the event a recurring event.

Location
Here you can select from existing venues, or create a new one. You can add multiple venues to an event using the “Add another venue” option. If uploading an image, the optimal image size is 1200x400px, as this will be displayed on the individual venue details page.
The venue info will be displayed anywhere the event information is displayed, and also on a dedicated venue details page. For more information on venues, view the “How to Enable and Configure Venues and Organizers” doc.

Organizers
Select an existing organizer for the event, or create a new one. An event can have multiple organizers by using the “Add another organizer” option. If uploading an image, the optimal image size is 300px wide (the height can be any size).
The organizer info will be displayed on the single event page, and on a dedicated organizer details page. For more information on organizers, view the “How to Enable and Configure Venues and Organizers” doc.

Cost
Add the cost for entry to your event. Use the “Display Text” option to control the format of how the cost is displayed. You can also specify that an event is free, by removing the {symbol} and {amount} text from that field and entering “Free” or any other text here.

Event Registration
Choose whether to allow attendees to register for your event. This overrides the global setting which is set inside the main plugin settings. If enabled, a “Register” button will be added to your events where users can fill out their information and register, as shown below:

You can use the “Apply this setting to all new events” option to automatically enable registration for all future events you create (this can still be deselected individually for each event as needed).

Restrictions
These options only apply if registration is enabled. You can set a capacity limit for each event, so that no more than a certain number of people can register to attend.
You can also choose what time to open and close your registration for the event. This can be set to be relative to the event start times (eg. open registration 7 days before an event starts, close 2 hours before), or as a fixed day and time.

Attendee List
This allows you to choose to show a list of attendees on your event page, and whether this is visible publicly to all users, or only those who are logged-in.

Event Image
To set the image for an event, use the WordPress “Featured image” setting. This is located differently depending on whether you’re using the Classic editor plugin, or the default WordPress block editor:
- In the block editor, click the “Event” tab in the top right of the page, and then click “Set featured image”.
- In the Classic editor, locate the “Featured image” widget in the right column of the page, and click “Set featured image”.

The optimal image size is 1200x400px, but if the image is smaller or larger than this then the plugin will still display it at the correct aspect ratio.
Tags/Categories
You can add tags or assign categories to an event just like you would a WordPress post. These can then be used to sort or filter events as needed.

Once you have filled out all of your desired fields, click “Publish” in the top right of the page to create your event.

Managing Events
Once you’ve created an event, you can easily manage it in your WordPress admin.
1. Visit the “All Events” page to see all of your events.

By default, your upcoming events are displayed here in a grid view. These display options can be changed using the options bar above the events.
2. The grid view shows a list of any recent event registrations at a glance. Click the “Manage Registrations” button to see a full list of all registrants and to manage them individually.

3. You can also use the main “Registrations” menu option to see a list of all registrations across all of your events.
