Calendar Sync and Export: iCal and Google Calendar Integration

Users can easily export an event and add it to either their iCal or Google Calendars.

By default, the Event Genius plugin displays an “Add to Calendar” button for each event. This is displayed at the bottom of the event details on the single event details page.

This gives the user the option to export the event to their calendar.

Google Calendar

If the user selects the “Google Calendar” option, then the plugin will create a new event in their Google calendar which automatically populates all of the event details.

iCal

If the user selects the “iCal” option when using an iOS device, then it will allow them to add the event to their iCal. Note: If using a Mac then it will download an event file which, when opened, will prompt them to add the event to their calendar.
