About the Event

Could you start a fire without matches? Find water? Build a shelter? This one-day immersive class will teach you the fundamentals of surviving (and thriving) in the wild. Led by seasoned guides, you’ll get hands-on practice with knots, fire-building, navigation, and edible plant ID — all surrounded by the towering redwoods. It’s equal parts practical and fun, and you’ll walk away with newfound confidence (and maybe a few smudges of charcoal on your face).
