The Event Genius plugin makes it easy to customize the display of your events on your WordPress site.
First, go to Events > Settings > Events. Here you’ll see the “Event Display (views)” options.

Event Template
By default, the plugin uses its own specially designed template for the single event detail pages. However, this can be changed to use either your theme’s post template, or your own custom template file. Below describes how each one of these works.
WP Event Genius Template (recommended)
This method of displaying your single events uses the Event Genius template which specially designed for events. The template is fully responsive and can be customized further using the other built-in customization settings.
Theme Template (add before and after content)
This method uses the default single post template from your theme and inserts your event information into the content area. Other content from your theme will be displayed above and below the event information.
Custom (add customized files to your theme)
This method uses a custom template file which you can add to your theme to override the plugin template. If you’d like to do this, just reach out to us here so we can help.
Show Export Options
You can choose to show or hide the “Add to Calendar” export options button which is displayed under the event details.

Show in Single Event
You can easily select which elements of your event details you’d like to include by using the built-in checkbox options. Select from the event Title, Featured Image, Date, Locations, Map, About Details, Organizers, Categories, Tags, and Capacity info.

Color Theme
By default, the plugin uses styling intended for a page with a light colored background. If you’re using a theme with a dark background, then you can set the “Color Theme” option to “Dark” to change the styles to display better on a dark background.
